Explanation of Electric Supply Plans: Your electric rate has three components. Supply is the actual electricity, and transmission and distribution are the components for delivering that electricity from the generator to your home. Your new, reduced rate applies to the supply, and is on a per kWh basis. Some plans fold in some or all components of transmission and/or distribution as well: if so, we list this in the plan description. Your utility will continue to deliver your electricity as before. Transmission and distribution costs do not change, no matter which plan you choose.
